Bahamas Vacation 1968
These pictures were taken by some humans that i’ve never met. Apparently this trip occured sometime in June of 1968, somewhere in the Bahamas. I’m guilty of enjoying the traveler’s personal moments caught on film, which for some reason ended up for sale in a red binder at an auction in the narrow middle part of Maryland. My second look at the vacationer’s journal made me realize that the whole group of images was more documentative than personal. There are no people as the subjects of the photographs, only seemingly empty shots of the environments encountered. This intrigued and relaxed me to see such simple images, where sometimes people tend to over-photograph their compainions and forget about the quiet.
